Grégoire Paultre, born in Paris,
received a masters degree (2003) in French and American Literature University of Paris 8. He also attended jazz programs at ARPEJ and American School of Modern Music in Paris. He spent 2004 Port of Spain, Trinidad studying English Carribean and African poetry at the University of West Indies, playing as a calypso musician and assisting an ethno-musicological study of Trinidadian carnival. Returning to Paris, he worked as a sound engineer (studio and radio) and as a PR representative for musician including Ray Barretto, Yusef Lateef, Jason Moran and Richard Bona. He received a Master 2 (2006) in audiovisual and radio from the University of Paris-Sorbonne. Since 2005, he has been published in and performed with NEW magazine in Paris and the US. He currently works as a poet, musician and sound designer (sound logo, web design and event production) in Paris and New York.
